No awkward posing required — just a little direction, plenty of connection, and space for the moments that feel like you. With 45-60 images in your final gallery, there’s room for the big family moments, the individual personalities and all the little in-between interactions that make your gallery feel like a complete story.

Want the freedom to take your time and see where the session takes us? Revel gives us up to 90 minutes to slow things down, settle in, and capture the full range of your people and your story.

It’s perfect for energetic little ones, newborn sessions, bigger extended families, or anyone who wants the freedom to settle in and let the story unfold at its own pace. There’s room for the beautifully unplanned moments too — a quiet pause, a burst of laughter, a change in the light, or whatever catches your eye along the way.

You’ll receive your full edited gallery, typically 100+ images, thoughtfully curated to tell the whole story — from the big, unforgettable moments to the tiny details that make your people, your places and this season uniquely yours. All delivered in a private online gallery.

Gathering Light is a chance to slow down and preserve this fleeting season in two parts: waiting for the arrival of your little one, and celebrating your newborn.

We’ll meet for a relaxed maternity session, then again for a lifestyle newborn session that captures those first days as they really are — the tiny details, the quiet moments, the overwhelming joy and all the beautifully imperfect bits in between.

No elaborate posing or perfection required. Just your people, a location that feels like home, and a little direction when you need it. The result is a collection that feels honest, connected and unmistakably yours.

The best photographer
Nicola just gets it. She knows the right location, the angles, the lighting. She knows how to make you feel comfortable and get the best shots every single time. I know when I have a session with Nicola I’m going to get memories to last a lifetime. And incredible photographer and even better human.

Such a fun evening!
Nicola did an incredible job of capturing my family. We had such a lovely evening outside laughing and enjoying the beautiful sunset, it hardly felt like a photo shoot! Both my cat and dog also had fun, which she captured so well in the photos. She somehow makes everyone (human and furry) look so photogenic. I can't recommend her enough - the photos truly speak for themselves!

Simply the Best
I have now done two sessions with Nicola and I have nothing but amazing things to say about her and her business. The booking process: so easy! She gives you tips on what to wear and will help you pose. I mainly wanted to have a photo session for my dog Jinx and Nicola is very accommodating with pets! Very patient and understanding (especially with a crazy pup!). I am not one that enjoys being in front of the camera but she made the whole process so easy going and no pressure at all. Just like friends hanging out! If you are having any doubts about doing a photo session… Do it!! You will not be disappointed :)
