Newborn, Baby & Family Portraits

Child-led newborn, baby, childhood and family photography in Steveston Village, Richmond, BC.

Newborn sessions are available in studio or in your home. First-year sessions can celebrate 100 days, sitting, crawling, first steps, first birthdays and cake smashes. Childhood and family sessions can take place in studio or outdoors throughout Richmond.

Sessions are relaxed and shaped around your child rather than a strict schedule or forced posing. Babies can feed, toddlers can move and kids don’t need to practise smiles before they arrive.

After your session, we’ll go through your photographs together and I’ll help you choose what you’d like to keep as digital images, wall art, albums or other pieces for your home.

The First Year Series

A simple way to document your baby’s first year without having to remember when to book each session. I’ll keep track of the milestones, contact you when it’s time to plan and help make each session feel manageable.

Choose three sessions to use within 14 months, or four sessions including maternity to use within 18 months. Sessions might include maternity, newborn, 100 days, sitting, standing, first birthday portraits, cake smash or another milestone that matters to your family.

After each session, we’ll go through your photographs together and you can choose the digital images and products you’d like to keep.

Professional Headshots

Professional headshot photography in Richmond, BC for business owners, professionals, creatives, actors and models.

Sessions can be photographed in studio or outdoors depending on the look you need. I’ll guide you through expression, positioning and small adjustments, so you don’t need to know what to do in front of the camera.

A frolic in nature with Sarah!
We met Sarah, her camera in hand, wearing a warm smile. We were immediately at ease. We had a fantastic experience with Sarah! She was absolutely lovely and professional, as well as so patient, accommodating, and made our pet feel completely at ease. She even met us at our favourite spot, which made the photos extra special. We’re already looking forward to our family portraits next. Highly recommend!

Dog portraits with Sarah
A friend of mine told me about Sarah Faith Photography saying she's is good and since i have always wanted to do a portrait for my 3 dogs so I booked a session with Sarah. We communicated through email on the date and time of the session and I gave her heads up that one of my dogs is very dog reactive so I prefer a quiet spot for the session. Sarah picked a very quiet and nice dog park for the session. It's the very first time my dogs can run free in a dog park and that helped eased my anxiety. Sarah was incredibly patient and clearly had a genuine love for animals, which made my dog feel at ease right away. She told me to let the dogs take their time to run and sniff around to drain some energy and also to warm up to her and the camera first. The session was well-organized and relaxed and most of all enjoyable and fun. She offered great direction without making anything feel forced. She even called her husband to bring treats for my dog as I forgot to bring them. My dogs and I couldn't be happier with this wonderful experience. The whole process felt more like playtime than a photo shoot, and the photos reflected that—full of natural expression, joy, and personality. I would highly recommend Sarah to any pet owner looking to create lasting memories.

Grateful
Sarah is an incredibly talented and thoughtful photographer and I am so grateful my family had the opportunity to work with her. Sarah took the time to understand our family dynamic and values and chose the perfect natural landscapes and settings to complement our family portraits. Sarah expertly navigated my three children’s very different personalities and was able to warm up my camera-shy son. I always feel nervous before any type of photoshoot, but Sarah’s warmth and creativity made us feel instantly at ease. I was overjoyed with the photographs taken by Sarah and am so thankful to have these memories. I will definitely cherish these photos for years to come!
