The Slow Season

A maternity & newborn bundle-two sessions, one gently unfolding story.

The days and weeks just before and after baby arrives are quieter than people expect. Slower. Fuller. Ordinary in the most beautiful way.

The Slow Season bundle was made for this season.

Your maternity Session is a 90 minute session and can be on location or at home. This is a gentle, reflective time for you to really feel into your pregnancy and celebrate your journey toward birth and meeting your new baby. Ideal time for this session is anywhere between 34-38 weeks but you can book for whenever you are feeling is the right time for you.

Your Newborn session is a slower paced 120 minute session. I come to you-no studios, no fuss, no pressure to have the house perfect or your hair done. I photograph your home as it is, your baby as they are, and you and any family members exactly as you are in this moment. The nappy changes, the feeding, the way the light falls across the baby's skin. The moments that might seem unremarkable until you look back and realise they were everything.

The Slow Season shoots are a nourishing experience and a gentle documentation of this special time. Unhurried, softly candid, and led by you and your baby.

Amelia did an amazing job and made us feel so comfortable
My siblings and I contacted Amelia as we were wanting to do a photoshoot recreating photos from when we were kids to give to our mum for her 50th birthday. The photos came out even better than we hoped and there were even some happy tears from mum when she saw them. Photoshoots aren’t exactly our thing but Amelia was so lovely and made sure we were all comfortable and having fun. Will absolutely be reaching out in future for any other photos

Natural talent
Amelia first photographed our wedding back in 2013 and she made us feel so at ease the whole time and we loved the professional photos. Silent warm energy
When Amelia photographs for My retreats, she is the warm silent energy that just captures every moment whilst being unintrusive and makes us all feel completely comfortable. She has a special ability to be there and also to not be when she does interact with the guests and myself it is with love and nurturing making everybody feel it is in every situation.
