Melissa was great to work with. I have 3 young boys which at the best of times are hard to wrangle up to get stuff done but she was able to with such ease. She made them feel comfortable and was able to capture the best memories for us of what life is actually like at our place! I highly recommend her!

This was our second shoot with Melissa, and she’s truly outdone herself again. She’s a dream to hangout with, and makes chaotic shoots with young children just a breeze. We did both maternity and newborn photos with Melissa and we absolutely loved both the experience and the results! We have had 2 sessions so far and our pictures have surprised us each time. They always turn out WAY better than expected. I love how Melissa captures moments that we don’t usually capture as a family of 6. I can’t remember the last time someone took a picture of me (Mama) and caught a memory with my kiddos. Our pictures are so genuine and real life too. We have beautiful photos of mud and things but there is so much emotion in it and they are pictures we will treasure. Melissa was so easy to work with. She is so easy going and just goes with the flow and offers a few ideas and suggestions here and there. Nothing super staged and forced. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting pictures of their life and day to day to remember. She has a knack for capturing the vibe and emotion in her photos.

My fiancé and I were so incredibly grateful for the absolute stunning engagement photos that Melissa was able to capture, despite both of us never having done a photoshoot in the past. We wanted a few different themes and she was sure to navigate each one of them with precision – old vintage, scenic and casual, beachy and fun. She was also skilled in taking shots with our dog which was very important to us. It also helped that she is a Vancouver Island native (as we are new to the island), so Melissa was extremely helpful in choosing the ideal locations for us – she even took time for a site visit beforehand to ensure perfection with each vision. Our photos were delivered in a timely manner, with the selection of black and white or coloured. We were super impressed with Melissa’s services and would work with her again in the future. 🩷

Melissa is great, my husband and I are not very comfortable in front of the camera and a bit awkward but Melissa got us to let loose and she captured really beautiful moments.

Melissa made the whole experience fun, flowy and effortless! Lots of playful movement and genuine smiles were had during our outdoor bookworm couple shoot!
