We had such a great time with Kara! My dog was immediately comfortable with her and so the photos she took captured his personality.

From start to finish, my shoot with Kara was everything I imagined it could be and more. Kara focused on every detail, from the pre-planning stages to having a shoot list, to having the best treats, and of course the edits. I've done other shoots before, but this one was by far my most favorite and memorable.

i can’t say enough about our shoot with kara! she made everything so much fun; we honestly forgot we were having a photoshoot. it felt like another fun filled fall day for us (minus our outfits). we had the best time, we laughed, she matched our energy & sense of humor. honestly, it was like spending a day with a friend. and the pictures came out beyond stunning! negan could be a model, if he would cooperate more. she captured some incredible action shots, as well as some heartwarming candids. memories were made that will last a lifetime & i can’t thank her enough for that! we only have our furbabies for a short time; but kara captured moments that will last forever. that is truly priceless

Kara was so wonderful to work with. Our original date didn't work because of a bridge being closed and Kara gladly said we can pick another day, the next day it rained so again we picked another day. When our shoot finally happened she was patient with us managing 3 dogs for photos and really capturing our love for them. She is a genuinely great person and I look forward to future photo shoots with her!

Kara did an amazing job taking photos of our dog and our (very wiggly) 14-month old. She took the most adorable photos of the two of them, and captured their personalities perfectly! I'm so impressed with what she was able to do while corralling a baby and a dog (and 2 parents + 1 grandparent). The photos are amazing, and Kara is so sweet and easy to work with. I had the pleasure of meeting Kara and being a part of the flower crown session photo shoot with my dog Kai and the experience and the photos are just beautiful. I haven’t even seen the final edits and I am beyond thrilled! My dog was a bit shy but Kara managed to get so many perfect shots of us. My golden retriever and I had an amazing time working with Kara! I wanted to capture our life in NYC and was open to a few locations and ideas. She helped me talk through the scenarios and we came up with the perfect plan to capture exactly what I was looking for. We had a blast shooting in Central Park (with tons of dog treats), and she always made sure my dog was comfortable. I received my photos to review very shortly after. In our Gallery Reveal meeting, Kara patiently worked with me as I decided on my products and I'm thrilled with my choices. I would definitely recommend Kara to my friends and family!

Our family had a wonderful experience working with Kara! She was so thoughtful and wanted the location of the shoot to represent our family and showcase our dog Debbie. We had to reschedule our shoot five times because of the weather, and Kara was excellent at communicating with us punctually to make sure we were all on the same page and comfortable with the plans. The day of the shoot itself was a warm swampy one, and Kara was super well-prepared to have us take breaks and checking in to make sure Debbie was okay. She brought a water bowl and treats, as well as a host of other tricks and tips to get Debbie to pose and look at her during the shoot. Within a few days, Kara sent us a gallery to preview our photos. The whole experience was so professional, and Kara is an amazing photographer to work with!

My session with Kara was great from start to finish. While my dog in his senior years has lost mobility, his quirky and territorial personality remains so I had some anxiety about doing the photoshoot. Kara was very understanding and empathetic to my concerns and eased a lot of my anxiety. She was thorough in her due diligence so that she could come up with the best plan for the day. In the end, we had an amazing time at the shoot and I am so thankful that Kara was able to capture the love at the center of it all. I would recommend her to anyone - all the pictures turned out great (I wanted them all so I had to exercise a lot of restraint!). Thank you, Kara!

Our session with Kara was such a positive and memorable experience. Kara is wonderful and a natural at what she does. We felt so comfortable during our time with her and both of our dogs loved her! You can see how much she cares for her clients (pets included) and making sure everyone is comfortable throughout the shoot. She made the planning process so easy. Kara was amazing and super patient with our family. She was able to grab Winter's attention in a high distracting atmosphere and capture incredible photos. She was able to catch Winter's playfulness and personality throughout the shoot. We will always cherish the photos/memories we got out of this photoshoot for a lifetime.

Kara is simply incredible and I cannot thank her enough for the STUNNING photos she captured of our sweet boy Boru. She came to our session incredibly prepared (which I am super thankful for since I had the unfortunate situation of running out of poop bags). She was super helpful in guiding me on how to pose Boru and was excellent at getting his attention which was fairly easy since he loved her so much!

We had a great time shooting our pup at the Brooklyn Bridge with Kara. Our dog can be shy to strangers and she warmed up to Kara easily as she let her sniff the camera and even brought treats that accommodated our pups allergies to make sure she was comfortable! Kara was super thorough in bringing our vision to life and the turn around on the photos was also super prompt! We are beyond satisfied after our shoot with her and will choose here time and time again.

The whole process with Kara was great! She takes the time to get to know you and your pet, and then helps you make the best choices about locations and shots if (when!) you can’t make up your mind. She creates a personalized experience, which is something you don’t usually see, especially with pet photographers. Peet loved her, abd the photos came out incredible! We will always cherish them!

Kara is the best!! She did a photoshoot of me and my 8 pound Havapoo, Bunny, and every single picture I fell in love with. She was able to capture the bond my dog and I have, set against the neighborhood I grew up in as a kid and where Bunny experienced city life for the first time. Kara was communicative, professional, and so nice. Highly recommend!

Kara came to shoot my 3.5 year old boy and our 80 lb 1 year old puppy. We knew this could be challenging - and it DEFINITELY was. My human baby was pretty wild which made the dog pretty wild so I felt so worried we would be wasting Kara’s time because of their antics. Kara was so sweet and so patient through the whole shoot. She was amazing with both the humans and the fur baby - and the gallery is STUNNING. She is really amazing, if you get a chance to work with her I highly recommend it!

Kara did such a great job capturing our family. Corralling two toddlers and a dog who was deaf for picture-perfect photos is not an easy task, but she captured all of their personalities so well. She even went with it when the kids and dog all chose to jump into the Hudson River (safely, of course, at Hoboken's Maxwell Beach). Kara really captured our sweet Charlie's personality. He recently passed, so having this last family photo shoot with him is so special for us. I would highly recommend Kara!

Loved working with Kara on our branding shoot! She is professional, talented and very creative! She listened to the direction we wanted and brought a lot of great ideas to bring our vision to life! The photos exceeded expectations. She showed up on time, prepared and had a lot of patience with our pup Ollie's shyness. He definitely loved the treats she brought and he often won't take treats from strangers. I found her cues extremely helpful to make sure we got the right shots. My husband, our dog Bowie, and I had a wonderful time with Kara! She photographed us and our dog Bowie, who happens to be an anxious dog. We loved the process of meeting with her via video call to get to know one another and our ideas for the shoot. She was so kind and gave Bowie time to warm up to her. She even brought him treats! He warmed up to her pretty quickly. She was patient with him and gave us great cues to work with him to capture the shots we both had in mind. We choose a setting with various spots for photos we had in mind. I love that Kara arrived early and found even further beautiful spots that we did not think of. She is so creative, has a great eye for detail, was professional, friendly, and warm. We received sample edits so quickly and we loved what we saw. My pup Ananda and I had an absolutely wonderful experience with KaraMerglPhoto! Kara is a true animal lover and an incredibly talented photographer. She was able to pick up on subtle cues from Ananda, that let her know that Ananda needed a break - she would put her camera down and play with Ananda to help her release some energy and refocus. She listened to what I was hoping to capture during our shoot and she made it happen! She has a very fast turn around time and showed me sample edits within days! That’s a huge plus for someone as impatient as I am! She was kind, friendly, helpful, and creative! We had the best time ever! We already are planning our next photo shoot because I am obsessed with how these pictures came out! I can’t wait to do it again!

Our family had an amazing experience working with Kara! Kara was great every step of the way from helping with wardrobe options to posing us during the shoot. She did a great job working with our 1.5 year old pup who can get pretty distracted. All the photos came out amazing and narrowing them down has been the hardest part!
