With over a dozen major camera brands and hundreds of lenses to choose from – it can be hard as a beginner to know which lenses you need to get your dream photos! After years of trial and error, we’ve discovered our best 3 Favorite Camera Lenses under $2000!
Let’s get right into our list of best lenses! Our favorite lens (one that will stir the pot because of the apparent focusing issues) is our first lens ever – the Sigma 35mm 1.4 for Canon
1. Sigma 35mm F1.4 – $633
This was our very first lens because of the entry price of under $700. Half of you love it, half of you hate it – we must be extra lucky because we have two of these lenses! During engagement photo sessions and elopements, we’ll both shoot on a Canon 5D Mark IV and Sigma35mm 1.4 combo!

2. Canon 24-70MM F2.8 – $1,599
The Canon 24-70mm f2.8 is our safety lens (or should we say LAZY lens) because we use this when we’re unsure of how close we can get but also want a wide angle lens. At 24mm, you can get a dramatic landscape photo without warping your image into the fish eye effect, and you can zoom in to 70mm when close-ups are necessary!

At a price of $1600, this lens certainly is more expensive than the Sigma – but the zoom capabilities make the Canon 24-70mm f2.8 well worth the investment!

3. Canon 70-200mm F2.8 – $1,799
The Canon 70-200mm f2.8 comes in handy when there’s intimate moments like a kissing session on the beach or a vow exchange because you can give your subject the space they need to enjoy a moment without feeling like paparazzi!
This lens also comes in handy when photographing mountain landscapes because the depth of field at 200mm makes the mountains look HUGE – just look at this next photo of Yosemite National Park!
