Customizable Contract & Invoicing expiration to protect bookings + revenue

This feature would be one that allows contracts and invoices to automatically expire after a customizable timeframe, with the option to toggle the feature on or off per document.
for example, users could set contracts and invoices to expire after 24, 48, or 72 hours if they are not signed or paid. once expired, the document could automatically move to an archived or inactive status.

this feature would significantly improve booking management and revenue protection for service-based businesses. currently, unsigned contracts and unpaid invoices can remain open indefinitely, which can result in:

• blocked calendar dates with no commitment
• lost booking opportunities
• inconsistent first-come, first-served practices
• additional manual follow-up and administrative time

as a photographer who operates on a first-come, first-served basis, holding dates without a signed contract or paid invoice directly impacts availability and potential revenue. an automatic expiration system would create clear expectations for clients while ensuring that dates remain available to serious inquiries.

the ability to toggle expiration on or off would allow flexibility for custom projects or special circumstances while still maintaining structure for standard bookings.

i believe this feature would enhance workflow efficiency, increase conversion urgency, and ultimately support users in protecting both their time and income.
