Gallery Image Hover goes dark with on Image (NOT IDEAL)

It would be great when you're hovering over an image and you can view it better, not worse! Right now, when my mouse is overtop of an image, it goes dark. For presentation, I feel it would be better if the image were more visible instead of being barely visible.
