Photography Slaaaayyyyy
I booked Amy to take photos of me and my husband for our one-year anniversary—intimate photos, which my husband was… let’s just say, less than thrilled about at first. But lucky for us, Amy is basically the Photo Whisperer. She set the whole thing up so perfectly that by the end, even my camera-shy husband was relaxed, laughing, and actually enjoying himself.
We started in the backyard eating our leftover wedding cake, which Amy had styled with the cutest little board and plates. It instantly felt like us—casual, fun, and completely unforced. From there, she gradually transitioned us into more intimate photos, building comfort so naturally that by the time we ended up in the bedroom, it didn’t feel staged at all. It felt like we were just hanging out together… while she happened to capture magic.
And that’s the thing—Amy isn’t just “good at taking pictures.” She has this insane ability to read people, know exactly when to step in with direction and when to let you just be, and capture moments that feel like they’re straight out of a memory. The photos she gave us tell a story—our story—and they’re something I’ll treasure forever.
If she can make us look and feel like naturals, she can do it for literally anyone. Amy is kind, encouraging, and so damn talented at her craft. Book her. Just do it. You’ll thank me later.
She has a way of making you feel truly seen
My time with Amy was one of the best experiences I've had being in front of the camera. I reached out for a 30th birthday shoot that I wanted to do at my home. Before the shoot, Amy came by so we could get to know each other and make sure that we understood what we were aiming to do. Come shoot day, Amy arrived with the best attitude and spark and was so eager to capture what I wanted. She was lively, excited, helpful, and seriously so fun. When I got the photos back, I'm not kidding, I cried. Yes, it was just photos of me in my home, but I've never seen myself look so cozy, comfortable, or safe. It was a wild feeling that only Amy has managed to capture. For that, I'll be eternally grateful. I'm so happy that she is a part of this story. Will DEF book again!
