We feel like we won the photographer lottery!
I almost hesitate to write this review because Chelsea is a new gem of a photographer recently back in the Portland & Seattle area after years away and I want to still be able to book sessions with her as the years go by but I have a feeling she will be popular here very fast!
Chelsea has an amazing gift, she is able to bring out our genuine chemistry and real connection, making it so incredibly easy to feel comfortable and relaxed. She also brought so much fun to the engagement session and wedding day photo experience, all while encouraging us to incorporate whatever was important to us! E, who was not looking forward to posing for engagement photos got in the car and exclaimed "whoa! I didn't think photo sessions could be that fun I'm so glad we chose them, let's do it again!".
Chelsea and Alex (her husband and wedding second shooter) captured real moments of pure joy and emotion – the perfect blend of authentic connection and playful energy. It's a fantastic mix of uncontrolled laughter and beautiful moments and we couldn't love the result more both in our experience and the amazing photo galleries!
Also when it comes to the images from the wedding we are so appreciative that when we look back on them (we're a little obsessed) they really captured the spirit of the entire experience from engagement to the final wedding exit.
We enjoyed every moment of working with both of them and so relaxed basically from the get-go. We felt so relaxed throughout the shoot, whether we were walking, hiking, laughing, or sharing stories. There was no pressure to "pose" – everything came together naturally, and Chelsea & Alex made sure we were enjoying every minute of it. Also they let us bring our dogs and loved on them. I thought with those crazies we weren't going to get many good shots with them involved but they got so many, I'm going to cherish those.
We also wanted to say we know Chelsea works hard behind the scenes whether it's with recommending amazing local vendors, checking in every so often to see if we needed assistance or reassurance (wedding planning can be stressful), little questionnaires to get to know us better, recommending bridal portraits when we were worried we wouldn't have enough time on our wedding day, helping us find the perfect location for our engagement session, input on outfits when we asked, etc. We joke she is the bridesmaid behind the camera because she is right there to help every step of the way right down to helping me get into my dress when my mother was having a little trouble doing it up and little things like reminding you of things to bring for your wedding day that you hadn't thought of but ended up being essentials..
This review isn't just for some engagement and wedding photos, not just a photoshoot – it was an unforgettable experience every time, one that we’ll cherish forever, and we're beyond grateful for it. We cannot recommend working with Chelsea more!
