Helen is the absolute best photographer you can ever ask for! Every session we’ve had felt effortless, fun, and somehow like a mini celebration. She has this rare ability to capture timeless, emotional shots without making the whole thing feel stiff or staged. The kinds of photos we will be proud to pass down for generations. At this point, we’ve just accepted that she’ll be taking our family photos until we’re 70 and even then, I’m betting she’ll make them look flawless. ✨

I can't stop staring at our gallery... I feel like this is the most pure capture of my family that we've ever gotten from a photographer. Out with the posed, brightly lit photos of the past and in with the candid, moody, EMOTIONAL capturing of my little family's true essence. I love the close ups on their little hands, the way the light highlights their features, and the beauty that we're able to keep forever. We purchased a package with 3 photoshoots - and I am so glad we did. Doing the package up front is a commitment to yourself that you'll keep up with capturing your family throughout the year and it makes it so easy to follow through.

Helen has such a storytelling eye. Post partum was so difficult and accepting my changed body was a challenge in itself, and thinking about memorializing it in a photo… I was nervous but I didn’t want to regret not documenting such a special time with my baby. Helen made me feel so at home and encouraged through the whole session. And my baby loved her! I loved her work so much, I booked her for another session with my husband. Normally camera shy, he felt so at ease with Helen as she captured our little family outing. We will certainly be booking more!

Helen shot photos of our family in a at-home session. She provided a guide plus live guidance as to what to wear, where the lightening was best, and how to make the experience comfortable. My husband and I can definitely be awkward on film + our wide-eyed baby to add to the mix. Helen not only made the session flow so smoothly, the photos are truly so amazing. They capture our small family of 3 in this exact moment and we will cherish them forever. We are already planning to do a follow up session with Helen down the line as this session was such a success.

My husband, myself & our 4 year old daughter had a family photo session in our home with Something Blue Photography. When Helen arrived, we were instantly put at ease. We were able to play some fun music, use props/stuff we play with & use around the house. Helen was creative, patient & professional & she was so helpful with planning our outfits before the photo shoot. I need all the assistance I can get in that area & she helped me with all my questions. Helen was responsive and so quick to answer my messages. The entire process was extremely smooth & actually very enjoyable for all 3 of us. Now on to the best part, the photos turned out way better than we expected. Unbelievably gorgeous! I had been looking for a family photographer for a long time. When I came across Helen’s work and I saw the emotion behind her photo shoots, I knew I wanted photos that felt like that - warm, natural and real. My expectations were exceed. The joy I feel when I look at the photos of my beautiful family that Helen took is beyond what I can express. I cannot recommend Helen enough!

Wow. Just, wow. From the very beginning of this experience Helen was outstanding. I had 0 idea what to wear and she spent hours looking and sending me links to outfits to buy. She picked the venue and was wonderful with communication. Normally photographers pose their clients so I had no idea what to expect. We got to the venue and she didn’t direct us; she let our son lead the way and she took us on a little nature walk. Looking at these photos it’s like watching a story of an adventure with my family and I couldn’t get enough. I laughed and cried. When I reached the end of the album I found myself wanting MORE! How wholesome these are. They will be cherished forever. I cannot wait until the next time we get to hang out with this SO very talented photographer and friend. Thank you Helen. ❤️

Helen is an incredible photographer to work with, she felt like someone I've known forever even after our introductory call. She helped us feel so relaxed and walked us through moments of our shoot even though our location had a ton of unexpected people there. My family and I didn’t really know what to expect but right off the bat Helen made it super easy. She allowed us to just be ourselves and to enjoy our surroundings. There was no pressure to pose a certain way, and I absolutely loved her approach to this because it made for a stress-free session with a 2 year old!
